The most important is the fear of G-d. "(Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Likutey Moharan I, 5)
Comment: We often look at the world we live in with the wrong glasses. It is enough for a person to be charismatic and to show his little knowledge to make us believe that he is a great servant of the Creator.
Yet, the most important is not the extent of knowledge a person possesses much less the way he talks. If a scholar knows perfectly the Torah but has no fear of G-d, it would have been better off for him not to be born!
The most important is the fear of G-d because it is that fear which actually shows the true love we have for Hashem. The fear of G-d includes that of sin and explains the many precautions some people take - well beyond the requirements of Jewish law - to get away from potential mistakes.
