Quote of the day

"When G-d is in a single concealment (...), it is still possible to toil and strive to find Him." (Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Likutey Moharan I, 56 )

Comment: We can pray three times a day and try to do as many mitswoth as G-d gave us without really "seeing" Hashem. This is the case when we know we should do some mitswoth (or not do certain transgressions), but we believe that the effort is too important for us.

We know that praying at sunrise is an important aspect of prayer. Yet, we rarely do it because it would make us get up too early! We know we need to put the tefillin every morning, but we often forget. At the same time, we commend those who do it!

In all these cases, we are aware of the distance between G-d and us. Even if we transgress the Torah, G-d forbid, we know that we should not do so. However, if we really want to get closer to the Creator, it is possible. We must desire and pray for help from Heaven and one day or another, this concealment will go away from our lives.
