Quote of the day

"The Torah is the concept of measures." (Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Likutey Moharan I, 56)

Comment: If we want to watch a bright light for few seconds, we have to contract our eyes in order not to be dazzled. G-d's spiritual light is huge and it must be contracted in order to be perceived by the human mind.

In each letter of the Torah is the light of Hashem. When we read a few verses, we come into contact with that light and make it enter our soul. Also, there is considerable light in the mitswoth that the Creator asked us to do.

That is why every mitzvah is a unique opportunity to establish a wonderful relationship between us and the Master of the world. Regardless of the mitzvah we do: the light that enters into our soul can enlighten us in a powerful way if we wish.
